Welcome to the Warwickshire Imps Cricket Club website !
The Warwickshire Imps plays "Gentlemen's cricket" against a number of like-minded opponents on a range of beautiful grounds around central England.
The club was founded in 1925 by Norman Impey a former Warwickshire player. It has retained strong links with the county club through its history, and until around ten years ago played at least once per season on Edgbaston. Many first class cricketers have also had the honour of representing the Imps ! Former Warwickshire wicket keeper Jamie McDowall was elected club President in 2013.
Our players come from a wide range of Warwickshire based league clubs and a few from further afield. Knowle & Dorridge, Kenilworth Wardens, Harborne and Stratford upon Avon provide much of our playing strength, and also the grounds on which we play our home fixtures each year.
The highlight of our season is our annual tour to Devon, where we play on the superb seaside ground at Sidmouth and as many as 50 people enjoy an extremely convivial few days.
We hope everyone enjoys the site.
