Imps vs Primary Club of Australia (T20)

With Sidmouth CC enjoying a nice lie-in, the Primary Club of Australia and the Warwickshire Imps made the short journey to Sidmouth to start the inaugural T20 Triangular competition between the three clubs.

There were a few selection issues pre-game, mainly the fact that 95% of the touring party were still on the M5 Northbound. The Imps batted first and all Imps in the paddock were instructed to pad up, Chaos included. Dom Hendricks and Chris Williamson (predictablly grumpy) opened the batting and got the Imps off to a brisk start, putting 63 on for the first wicket, before Damo broke through a swing from the hip from Williamson.

Dom Hendricks and Tom Brammer then came together to put on an explosive 162 in 14 overs, with Hendricks finishing 96 not out from 57 and Brammer ending on 88 not out from 44, including hitting Nathan Reay for three consecutive sixes. The Imps finished on 225-1 off their 20 overs.

In reply, the Primary Club looked behind the rate, but a destructive 45 from 38 from Stark and Damo scoring 42 off 24 kept them in the hunt. The Imps, however, picked up regular wickets and restricted the Aussies to 184 in their 20 overs. Sidmouth missed a treat.
