Imps vs Sidmouth (T20)

The Imps' second game of the day was against the well-rested Sidmouth CC. Sidmouth won the toss and batted first, the Imps now had a complete touring party, minus a couple of missing Leamingtonians, who travelled to Sidmouth via the Bermuda Triangle.

The Imps bowled well, restricting Sidmouth throughout the innings. Hendricks (2-25) and R Shears (1-22) bowed particularly nicely and despite Daye scoring 78 from 37 balls at the end (dispatching Coburn for 18 off one over), Sidmouth finished on 176-5 off 20 overs, which seemed a long way short.

Dom Harding enjoyed his annual Sidmouth range practice and propelled the Imps' innings with 59 from 22 balls. By the time he was dismissed, the score was 71-1 from 7.2 overs the work had been done. A bludgeoning 38 from Rigg and a more circumspect 45 Not Out from Hendricks guided the Imps to victory number two of the day in 19 overs.

This game is also worth a mention as it contained all four Shears, a fantastic sight and one we look forward to watching for many years to come!?
