Imps vs Primary Club of Australia (Declaration)

With the razzmatazz of the T20 Triangular Tournament behind us, it was normal service resumed on the Monday of Tour at Sidmouth CC, where the Imps took on the Primary Club of Australia in a declaration game.

The Imps won the negotiation in the bar on Sunday night and batted first, much to Nathan Reay's chagrin. The innings was built on the foundation laid by Will Rigg (48 from 44) and Tom Smith (63 from 59). Wiliamson C and Coburn put on 62 for the sixth wicket and the Imps, despite being bowled out, posted a healthy 264.

At 93-0 in reply from 22 overs, things were not looking good for the Imps. The lengthy rain break also looked very bleak and bar takings were higher than expected for a Monday afternoon. Fortunately the rain cleared and the game continued.

Blake Coburn ripped his way through the Australians, claiming 9 wickets for 66 runs in 16 overs, perhaps an Imps all time record? The 10-fer was denied by Hendricks and Brammer but the Imps wrapped up victory by 64 runs.

All in bar.
