About Us

The Warwickshire Imps is a Gentlemen’s cricket team, founded in 1925 by Norman Impey. The Club is nomadic and plays at picturesque grounds across the country against a mixture of like-minded clubs and school teams. The Warwickshire Imps has close ties with Warwickshire CCC and until the 1990s played an annual fixture at Edgbaston.

The Club has been going on tour annually to Sidmouth, Devon, and has been since the 1960s.

The playing membership is made up primarily of members of local cricket clubs, including Knowle and Dorridge, Hampton and Solihull, Moseley Ashfield, Berkswell and many more. Players are invited to play by existing members and are added to the “Gentlemen Invited to Play” list. Once a player has made a significant contribution to the club, they get proposed as a member by the Committee and approved at the AGM.
